The short answer
Coupes and sports cars need ultra-high-performance (UHP) tyres, often in staggered sizes with wider rears — for example 255/40 R19 front and 275/40 R19 rear on a Mustang. Look for W or Y speed ratings and, on European cars, the manufacturer's homologation mark. Expect AED 400–1,500 per tyre; our vans use low-profile jacks and touchless tyre machines to avoid rim damage.
Why UHP tyres wear fast
Soft compounds that grip well also wear quickly, and Dubai's hot, abrasive asphalt speeds that up. A Pilot Sport 5 or P Zero on a powerful rear-wheel-drive coupe may last 15,000–25,000 km on the rear axle. Keep pressures correct and avoid launching hard on hot days if you want them to last.
Staggered sizes
Many coupes run wider tyres at the back. That means you can't rotate front to rear; plan on replacing the rears about twice as often as the fronts. When replacing rears only, match the model and keep tread depth within a few millimetres of the fronts.
Homologation marks
European performance cars are tuned around specific tyres, identified by a mark on the sidewall: N0–N2 for Porsche, a star for BMW, MO for Mercedes-Benz, AO for Audi. Fitting the marked tyre keeps steering, ABS and stability-control behaviour as designed. We check your current marking and order the matching version.
Fitting without scratching the rims
Low-profile tyres on large alloys are easy to damage. Our vans carry leverless tyre machines, plastic-protected clamps and low-entry trolley jacks, and we torque wheels by hand to spec.
