Tyres on instalments

The short answer

800 Tyres accepts Tabby and Tamara, so you can split the cost of tyres and fitting into four interest-free payments. You choose the tyres, we fit them at your location, and you pay at the end of the job by selecting Tabby or Tamara instead of card or cash. Approval and the payment schedule are handled by the instalment provider.

Why split the cost of tyres

Tyres tend to need replacing all at once and at the worst time: the week before the car's registration renewal, when an RTA test flags tyres older than five years, or the morning a sidewall bulge appears after a pothole. A set of four mid-range tyres for a Camry or Corolla runs to around AED 1,000 fitted, and a premium set for a Land Cruiser, Patrol or BMW X5 can pass AED 3,000.

The temptation when money is tight is to put off the job or buy the cheapest tyre in the shop regardless of age. Both are risky in UAE heat, and driving on worn or expired tyres carries an AED 500 fine and four black points. Splitting the payment lets you fit the right tyres now.

How paying in four works with us

  1. Choose your tyres. Send your tyre size or car model on WhatsApp and we reply with two or three options and the total fitted price.
  2. Book the visit. A technician arrives with the tyres, shows you the DOT dates and fits them, including balancing, valves and disposal of the old tyres.
  3. Pay at the end. Choose Tabby or Tamara as the payment method. The provider checks eligibility and, if approved, splits the total into four interest-free payments.
  4. Repay through the app. The remaining payments are taken by the provider on their schedule. We are paid in full by them, so there is nothing more to settle with us.

Spending limits and approval are decided by Tabby or Tamara based on your account, not by us. If you have a large order, check your available limit in the app before booking.

What four payments look like

These examples use our published starting prices, which include fitting. Your exact total depends on tyre size and brand.

Set of fourExample carTotal fromEach of 4 payments
EconomyNissan Sunny, Toyota YarisAED 600AED 150
Mid-rangeToyota Camry, Honda AccordAED 1,000AED 250
PremiumToyota RAV4, Lexus ESAED 1,600AED 400
Run-flatBMW 3 Series, MiniAED 2,000AED 500

Large SUV sizes cost more than these starting figures. For the full picture by rim size, see our tyre prices in the UAE.

What you can put on instalments

Any job we invoice can be paid with Tabby or Tamara: new tyres, a single replacement tyre, a spare tyre for the boot, TPMS sensors, wheel alignment at a partner workshop, or rim repair. In practice the split payment is most useful for full sets of tyres, where the total is largest.

When paying later makes sense

Splitting the payment is most useful when the tyres cannot wait: the registration renewal is due and the test centre will reject tyres past their five-year date, a tyre has a sidewall bulge, or the tread is close to the 1.6 mm minimum before a long drive to Fujairah or Hatta. It also helps when a single tyre failure means replacing a matching pair on an all-wheel-drive car, which turns a small bill into a large one at short notice.

It makes less sense for small jobs. A puncture repair at AED 80 is easier to pay outright. As with any credit product, only take on payments you are comfortable meeting on the provider's schedule.

Choosing tyres when you are paying over time

Paying in instalments makes a better tyre more affordable, and on most cars the step from economy to mid-range is worth it. Mid-range brands such as Hankook, Kumho, Yokohama and Toyo usually last noticeably longer and grip better in the rare UAE rain than the cheapest options. For family SUVs and cars that cover long highway distances, a premium tyre from Michelin, Bridgestone or Continental is the choice we would make for our own cars. Compare options on our tyre brands page.

Whatever tier you choose, the tyre we fit will have a recent DOT date. There is no point spreading payments over months on a tyre that is already three years into its five-year life.

Card and cash are also accepted. The price is the same whichever way you pay; we do not add a fee for choosing Tabby or Tamara.

Flat tyre on the Patrol at 11 pm outside the house. Technician was there in 35 minutes, had the right 20-inch tyre in the van and finished in half an hour. Price was exactly what they told me on WhatsApp.

Booked a set of four Michelins for my CR-V. They fitted them in the basement of my building while I was on calls. Showed me the manufacture date on each tyre before fitting, which nobody has ever done for me.

Screw in my tyre on a Friday morning. They plugged it in the car park, checked the other three and set the pressures. AED 80, done in 20 minutes.

Paid with Tabby for new tyres on the Range Rover — split into four, no interest. The guy was careful with the wheels and left the driveway cleaner than he found it.

Common questions

Common questions

Can I buy tyres in instalments in Dubai?

Yes. We accept Tabby and Tamara, which split the total into four interest-free payments. This works in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Is there interest or an extra fee for paying with Tabby or Tamara?

The split is interest-free and we charge the same price as for card or cash. Late-payment terms are set by the instalment provider.

Does the fitting fee count towards the instalments?

Yes. The whole invoice, including the AED 100 fitting and the tyres, can be split.

What if Tabby or Tamara does not approve my purchase?

Approval is decided by the provider. If it is declined, you can still pay by card or cash, or choose a lower-priced tyre option.
