Wheel alignment Sharjah
The short answer
Computerised 4-wheel alignment in Sharjah costs from AED 99 for a sedan and AED 149 for a large SUV or 4x4, done at our partner workshop in Industrial Area 5. You get a printout of the camber, caster and toe readings before and after. Wheel balancing, which fixes steering vibration, is done at your location from AED 25 per wheel.
Signs your alignment is out
- The car pulls to one side on a straight, flat stretch such as Al Ittihad Road or the E311, with the tyre pressures correct.
- The steering wheel is off-centre when the car is going straight.
- One edge of the tyre wears faster, usually the inside edge on the front tyres. Run your hand across the tread to feel it.
- You've hit something hard: a kerb in a tight Al Nahda car park, a speed bump taken too fast, or a pothole on a service road in the industrial areas.
If the problem is a vibration rather than a pull, that's balancing, not alignment. See the table below.
Alignment or balancing?
| Symptom | Usual cause | Fix | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Car drifts left or right | Toe or camber out, or uneven pressure | Pressure check, then alignment | AED 99 sedan / 149 SUV |
| Steering crooked when driving straight | Toe out after a knock | Alignment with steering centring | AED 99 sedan / 149 SUV |
| Shake through the steering at 90–120 km/h | Front wheel imbalance | Balancing at your location | AED 25 per wheel |
| Shake through the seat | Rear wheel imbalance | Balancing at your location | AED 25 per wheel |
How alignment works in Sharjah
Book a slot on WhatsApp and drive to our partner workshop in Industrial Area 5. Tell us if you'd rather we collect the car, and we'll quote pickup for your area. The car goes on a level platform with a 3D camera rig that reads all four wheels at once. The technician adjusts toe, camber and caster where your car allows it, centres the steering wheel, and prints the readings before and after.
The whole job takes 45 to 60 minutes. If a worn tie-rod end, ball joint or bush stops the car from holding the right angles, we show you the part and the price before doing anything extra. Aligning a car with loose steering parts wastes your money, because the settings drift again within days.
Why Sharjah cars go out of line
Most of it is low-speed knocks. Kerbs in crowded residential car parks in Al Nahda, Al Taawun and Al Majaz, steep basement ramps and the many speed bumps on internal roads each nudge the steering a little. Heavily loaded pickups and vans from the industrial areas sag at the back and change the angles. A daily commute into Dubai adds a lot of highway kilometres, and a small toe error over those kilometres wears the inside edge of the front tyres quickly.
How often to align
- Every 10,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first.
- Whenever you fit new tyres, so they don't start wearing unevenly from day one.
- After any suspension or steering repair.
- After a hard kerb strike, even if the car feels fine.
